WAGR Information

The World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) are the globally recognized rankings system for top-level amateur golf worldwide.
A series of WAGR events are organized annually in the Cayman Islands with top-level amateurs meeting the handicap-based qualification criteria able to participate and compete in the events.

Winners of the events will receive an official WAGR ranking. Players that are already ranked earn points towards their ranking.
Players with sufficiently high-level rankings receive invites to tournaments and the number of representatives the Cayman Islands is allocated for certain large tournaments is influenced by the WAGR rankings. The number and level of ranked players also impacts whether the Cayman Islands is invited to certain international tournaments.

For upcoming tournaments please view the Tournament Calendar or contact tournaments@ciga.ky for more information.
