Q1. HOW DO I JOIN CIGA?
A1. Individuals become a member of CIGA by paying the CIGA membership fee of CI$50.00 and completing a membership application, which can be found on-line by clicking on the "membership" link or the "JOIN NOW" link.
Q2. WHY JOIN CIGA?
A2. It is important for golf in the Cayman Islands, that a non-commercial and impartial body of amateur golfers exists to administer the principal concerns of the Cayman Islands golfer. Additionally, CIGA executes ideas and suggestions from its members for new tournaments, coordinates golf events, provides handicapping, and supports golf for all ages.
Q3. WHO BELONGS TO CIGA?
A3. CIGA has over 200 current members, and welcomes any interested golfer over 18 years of age with amateur status.
Q4. HOW IS CIGA GOVERNED?
A4. CIGA is governed by four officers and five general members. All elected committee members are volunteers, serve a term of one year, and are elected annually by CIGA members at the Annual General Meeting.
Q5. HOW IS CIGA FINANCED?
A5. CIGA is financed by membership dues, tournament entry fees, corporate sponsors and other fund raising events throughout the year.
Q6. WHAT OTHER GOLF ASSOCIATIONS IS CIGA AFFILIATED WITH?
A6. CIGA is associated with the Caribbean Golf Association and Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
